“Helping children achieve real life skills” is just one of the many comments from our latest Upstart Enterprise afterschool club.

“It’s made him determined to run a business” – parent of a 10 year old.

“My daughter was very proud of her team’s final pitch” – parent of a 12 year old.

“Our children really enjoyed working with Vicki from Upstart and learned valuable entrepreneurial skills. A particular highlight was pitching their final ideas to ‘dragons’ who were all people with their own businesses or those who had clear links with business enterprise. Some of our children felt that they had been inspired to potentially set up and run their own businesses in the future.” – Susannah Webb, Head Teacher, Gosforth Central Middle School.

“The children at Gosforth East Middle School gained so much from their experience with Upstart Enterprise. Vicki has endless enthusiasm and is passionate about ensuring young people learn what enterprise is. The children thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the programme. We are excited to have Vicki back in the Autumn term. I can not recommend Upstart Enterprise enough.” – Karen Pink, PSHCE Co-ordinator/Head of Year 8

7 weeks from picking a household object out of the bag to pitching it back to judges on a panel as a viable business was a challenge, but great fun and we had some very eager entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to our industry judges at week 7.

Here’s some of the pictures from our latest 7 week club, which was at Gosforth Central Middle School in Newcastle.

If you are a teacher who would like us to deliver one of our clubs in September 2020 please get in touch. We also deliver enterprise in a day modules during school hours.
