Upstart Enterprise is well known for delivering afterschool enterprise clubs develop entrepreneurial skills, increase confidence and focus on selling, pitching and smart thinking. The clubs (normally paid for by parents and Grant applications) run a 7 week enterprise programme which often ends with a dragons den style pitching contest. Look at a short video of feedback from some of the children who take part in our club.

This is our very first virtual club which encourages children (years 5-8) and parents to take part in virtually at weekends.

Rather than pay us to deliver this programme, we are asking if parents/carers and anyone else could make a contribution towards one of the charities we have chosen to support. Every little helps. The two charities we are asking people if they to ‘pay as they feel’ to donate to are Family Gateway and Throckley Community Hall. You can choose one or donate to both who need crucial funds to support local families and vulnerable individuals during this time 🙂

The programme starts Saturday 25th April and will run for 7 weeks.

Week 1 – Choosing a household object and using Scamper method to re-imagine it

Week 2 – The Business idea / SWOT

Week 3 – Branding

Week 4 – Start-up costs and pricing

Week 5 – Storyboarding and making a video

Week 6 – Creating a perfect pitch and practice

Week 7 – Submit pitch video

We have a limited amount of spaces available (30 to be precise) and children must be in Y5-Y8, they go to a Newcastle school, and have a parent/carer available to submit work on a weekly basis.

Please register your interest by emailing vicki@upstartenterprise.com by Friday 10th April.
