Upstart Enterprise are holding fully funded free business start up and grow programmes to support Kenton residents as well as residents in surrounding areas of Newcastle.
You will attend a friendly group session with like-minded residents once a week for 2.5 hours at Kenton Library community room. The courses have been funded by North of Tyne Community Led Local Development (CLLD). Upstart Enterprise is also being funded by Newcastle City Council Ward funding.
Director at Upstart Enterprise Vicki Stone says – “We believe everyone should have a chance at setting up their own business, regardless of background. The majority of our potential start-ups are on benefits, and some have caring responsibilities. One thing in common is that they are all in the same boat and they tell us that the group sessions give them the encouragement and determination to achieve their goals and get their businesses off the ground”.
The Start-up course starts Thursday 22nd September at 10am for 7 weeks and the Jump-Start course starts Wednesday 21st September at 10am for 6 weeks.
