Our Vicki from Upstart and Ruth Taylor from Pendower Good Neighbour project are in the picture with Mark Henderson from Home Group One Strawberry Lane where we won their first Strawberry Soup pitching event on 1st March 2023.

‘Strawberry Soup’ is Home Group’s version of Detroit Soup. This was based on the idea that communities come together to support local projects which benefit the local community.

It is a great initiative to support local charities, so thanks again to everyone who voted for our project.

The £500 received goes towards funding activities for our Crafty Lasses group in Benwell, so we can get out and have different experiences as a group.

Thanks again and glad I didn’t hit anyone with a tennis ball in our pitch!
